Supertubos

The name of this beach locally known as Medão Grande is pretty self explanatory of the kind of waves that break around here – Supertubes. Medão Grande beach is the hottest spot for tube riding and perfection when it comes to good surfing conditions. Supertubos hosts every year the 10th stop of the WSL (World Surf League) championship. The waves are hollow tube sections, extremely fast from start to end. There are several breaks throughout the beach and the bottom is sand bar. It requires skill and experience to ride these waves.
