Baía de Peniche

Baía de Peniche

Baía, Peniche – Portugal

The bay connects Peniche’s town with Baleal Peninsula, and its a really consistent place for surfing. The bay stretches for more than 2 kms with sandbar breaks all over. Southern winds work beautifully at these waves, making it almost the only surf spot in Portugal with offshore winds when the rainy season arrives. Here the waves can go from 1 meter to 2,5 meters depending on the distance that you are from the middle of the bay. It’s always crowded with surf schools and surf guides from Peniche, because there will always be a corner with waves for everyone.
